Are your products cooked or raw?
We use a combination of cooked and raw ingredients.All poultry is fully cooked prior to being freeze dried.Our salmon, tuna and liver are raw prior to being freeze dried.Our shrimp is fully cooked.All of our products undergo a proprietary lethality step in the final phase of freeze drying, where we heat the internal temperature of our treats, meals and supplements to 165º F to ensure they are free from any harmful pathogens.
Are your products human grade?
Yes, all of our products are made from 100% human-grade ingredients—what we feed our pets is the same quality we’d eat ourselves. We make everything in our own USDA-inspected kitchen in Massachusetts.
What does freeze-dried mean, and why is it better?
Freeze drying removes moisture without heat, preserving nutrients, flavor, and texture naturally. It’s a gentle process that keeps food closer to its original state—no preservatives, no cooking, no loss of nutrition.
Are your ingredients USA-sourced?
Yes, whenever possible we source ingredients from the USA. Some fish may be wild caught from safe, regulated waters in Vietnam or Indonesia (e.g., tuna, shrimp), and sourcing transparency is a top priority.
Why do your treats look different—and sometimes feel rock hard?
We don’t mold, blend, or shape our treats to look uniform. Each one is made from real, whole food—like slices of chicken breast or cubes of salmon—so naturally, they vary in size, color, and texture. Some pieces may be darker or crispier, others lighter and more delicate. That’s part of the beauty of using nothing but pure, minimally processed ingredients.
As for the hardness? That’s totally normal. Our gentle freeze-drying process removes up to 99% of moisture, which locks in nutrients and makes the treat shelf stable without preservatives. Because of this, some pieces may feel dense or “rock hard” to the touch—especially larger cuts or fattier proteins. You can easily break them up or briefly rehydrate them with a splash of water for a softer texture.
Real food isn’t always uniform—and we think that’s a good thing.

How do I feed Just One Treats?
Serve them as is for a crunchy snack or crumble them over meals as a topper. For older pets or cats with hydration needs, briefly rehydrate with water to soften.
How many treats can I feed per day?
These are nutrient-dense. We suggest:
- Small pets: 1–2 treats
- Medium pets: 3–4 treats
- Large pets: 5+ treats

Can I mix Living Treats or Supplements with kibble?
Yes! They’re designed to pair with any diet. You can serve dry as a topper or rehydrate to create a broth. This helps with gut health, hydration, and variety.
Are these appropriate for puppies or kittens?
Yes—all of our products are suitable for all life stages. However, always check the feeding guide and consult your vet for very young pets or those with health issues.
Can I use Nature’s Remedy daily?
Nature’s Remedy meals are intended for short-term use during digestive distress—like vomiting, diarrhea, or food transition. Feed as directed for 2–3 days until symptoms resolve.Our supplements are designed for daily use.
STORAGE & SHELF LIFE
Do I need to refrigerate freeze-dried products?
Nope! They’re shelf-stable for up to 2 years when stored in a cool, dry place. Just reseal the bag after opening.
Why does the vacuum-sealed pouch feel like a brick?
That’s intentional! The vacuum keeps fragile freeze-dried pieces from breaking and blocks out moisture. Open the inner pouch and transfer treats into the resealable outer bag for daily use.
